Spirit Media of Portland, Oregon managed all media relations and negotiated exclusive television coverage of President Obama's holiday vacation at Paradise Point Estates in Kailua, Hawaii. President Obama and his family first selected Paradise Point Estates to serve as the official Obama Winter White House in 2008. To prepare for the arrival of the President, First Lady, daughters Malia and Sasha, and First Dog Bo, Spirit Media first consulted with David Zimel, owner of Paradise Point Estates, to determine a media strategy for brand building, video production resources and web video capabilities.
Spirit Media negotiated a television exclusive with ABC's Good Morning America The program featured a tour of the Plantation Estate, the centerpiece of Paradise Point Estates, and the home which serves as the Obama Winter White House. Pre-produced interviews with owner David Zimel, and supporting video and images of the estate were made available to all media via web streaming immediately following the GMA broadcast. Spirit Media also provided script writing services that provided up to the minute information located on the Paradise Point Estates web site.
