Spirit Media partnered with global PR agency - Rocky Hill & Knowlton to develop a press video package for the Mazda Motor Corporation. The project centered around a shipping incident that compromised the quality of thousands of new Mazda vehicles en route to North America. Despite the vehicles' excellent condition, the Mazda Motor Corporation determined that they could not sell these vehicles as new and made the decision to destroy the vehicles.
The video package focused on the elaborate one-day process that Mazda executives pursued to assure that each vehicle was carefully dismantled and destroyed while assuring that shredded resources were preserved for recycling. The process included transporting the vehicles to the storage site, deploying the airbags, draining all fluids at Northwest Recycling, and shredding and separating the metal at Schnitzer Steel.
The video package was used as a resource for news releases and public relations and b-roll support.
