Domestic Violence Enhanced Response Team Outreach DVD

Domestic disturbances - often violent behavior used to establish power and control over another person, account for 3000 emergency calls each year in Oregon’s Clackamas County. Thousands more go unreported.

Recognizing the need to educate the public about an essential community service, Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office partnered with Spirit Media to produce an eight minute video for DVERT, the county’s Domestic Violence Enhanced Response Team.

The video project presented the challenge of combining interviews with key representatives from numerous government agencies, up-to-date domestic violence data, and a personal story of survival from a victim of violence.

Spirit Media provided complete video production services including message strategy, field producing, videography, scriptwriting, talent management, graphic design and editing.

Through the personal account of a domestic violence survivor, the video presents DVERT’s unique multi-agency approach which offers immediate and follow through assistance to victims, holds offenders accountable, and increases the number of prosecutions.
In order to encourage citizens to report domestic violence, Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office and the DVERT team is using the video as a valuable promotional and educational tool in the community.
