When the Portland, Oregon Daily Journal of Commerce (DJC) held its first annual Minority Contractors Awards event in Fall, 2009, the publication consulted with Spirit Media for event direction expertise. The awards ceremony was a milestone for DJC, honoring disadvantaged, minority, women and emerging small businesses throughout the Portland and Vancouver, Washington area for their contribution to the region's built environment.
The awards were an overwhelming success, leading DJC to make the Minority Contractors Awards an annual event to allow growth for the minority contractors of the Pacific Northwest.
Spirit Media delivered expertise in event flow and pacing, script writing, video production, graphic presentations and provided on-site technical crewing and live creative direction at the event held in a Portland hotel ballroom.
