Spirit Media and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office formed an alliance to produce a series of Public Service Announcements for broadcast on television and cable and for playback at live presentations and in kiosks. The creative team at Spirit Media collaborated with the Sheriff's Office on script development and managed all production elements including videotaping, sound, graphic design and editing.
'Speeding Car' dramatizes the risks of driving above the speed limit. Visuals captured from the driver's point-of-view, intercut with on-screen text and scenes from a staged single-vehicle accident, emphasize the potentially fatal results of exponential speed. Music and sound effects enhance the visuals and further dramatize the Sheriff's Office message. The PSA, which was produced in both English and Spanish, closes with an on-camera branding message from Clackamas County Sheriff Craig Roberts reminding drivers to be smart, be safe and to slow down.
'Dangerous Places' reminds viewers of Oregon's Move Over Law requiring motorists to move over and slow down when driving past an emergency responder working on the side of the road. To dramatize one of the deadliest places for a responder to be, the PSA reveals the actions of a Sheriff's deputy helping a stranded motorist pulled over only inches from the highway. 'Dangerous Places' was also produced in English and Spanish and closes with an on-camera branding message from Clackamas County Sheriff Craig Roberts reminding drivers to move over for first responders.
